When you purchase steel, you will probably first consider new steel. Used steel is often an excellent alternative. This is why HP Staal has large stocks of used steel in its range!
A major advantage of used steel is that the price is significantly lower than that of new steel. An extra advantage is that it is sometimes already fitted with partitions, flanges or footplates, or covered with a coating or red lead.
Steel has a long economic life span and is 100% recyclable. Steel sheet piling, girders, pipes and dock boards are particularly well suited to re-use.

Quality of the steel
Used steel is offered to us from major groundwork, road building and road building projects or demolition jobs. All of the used steel is firstly thoroughly checked and processed before it is included in our range. The quality is a minimum of ST37, but this is less relevant for many applications in which used steel can be utilised.
